Building pages in Kentico Xperience: Page Builder and widgets vs. content tree pages and components

For those among us who are seasoned Kentico Xperience users, we’ve seen quite an evolution in not only the DXP architecture but especially in the way we build content and presentation. From the glory days of the web forms-based Portal Engine development model where web parts ruled supreme, to the slick and shiny MVC and (now) .NET Core development model which provide an ultra-modern presentation layer that is further enhanced with widgets. Kentico Xperience is famous (among the circles I roll in, anyway) for the stellar Page Builder capabilities.
